Job Title: Assistant Team Leader – Operations
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Salary: Circa £36,000 plus excellent benefits (detailed in the spec) and development opportunities

Our client is a global provider of leasing, business finance and mobility solutions – including vendor finance, factoring and operational car leasing. 

Your function: As an Assistant Team Leader in Operations, your role will be pivotal in optimising our client’s service to their customers as well as the development and performance of their people. The role will encompass either or both of two key elements: Service Delivery and People Management.

Candidates must have prior experience in the financial services sector.

Supporting and deputising for the Team Leader in providing operational excellence to our client’s internal and external customers:

Service Delivery

• Providing key operational metrics to drive operational excellence;
• Identifying root causes of process issues and managing resolutions;
• Working on key process improvement projects;
• Facilitating huddles;
• Handling and solving of operational incidents and complaints;
• Determining, monitoring and managing of team service levels;
• Working across departments to resolve hand-off issues;

People Management

• Performance management of team members;
• Managing the change impact of new technology on people;
• Working with the training manager to develop high impact training for the team;
• Allocation of work;
• Managing resource levels at key periods;
• Identifying team and individual development needs

The successful candidate will have:

• Exceptional relationship management skills;

• Resilience;

Ideally, you will also have:

• Previous people management experience;
• CPI qualification
• Project management skills
