Project Manager – Ewloe, Deeside

Salary: basic salary to circa £35,000 plus excellent benefits

We are looking for a candidate well-versed in Agile methodology, with solid experience working in infastructure-related projects.

Description of Role and Key Responsibilities:

• Successfully engage in multiple small to large sized initiatives simultaneously, including legacy system change management in an Agile environment
• Work closely with Product Sponsor/Product Owner(s) in estimating high-level timescales, costs and resources needed 
• Lead high-level estimating workshops, creating high-level project plans and documentation using natural language
• Finding out what the company wants to achieve by gathering requirements through suitable means, such as workshops, process mapping or workflow analysis.
• Negotiating with external contractors and suppliers for materials and services where necessary
• Empowering development teams to self-manage, maintaining motivation and a desire to over-deliver
• Making sure that each stage of a project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards
• Regularly report on progress to the project sponsor and key stakeholders 
• Clear communication between the Operations Director, company Board and other departments
• Act as liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams
• Perform Service Manager duties for third parties, where necessary
• Anything else the business deems reasonable

Core Skills and Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
• A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies 
• Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
• Analytical skills, including an understanding of how to translate customer needs into application or operational requirements
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of software delivery processes, roles and responsibilities
• Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
• Flexibility; depending on the project you may be acting as Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner or a member of the project/development team.
• Ability to communicate effectively at a number of different levels and methods
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Capable of working in a small team setting
• Ability to pick up information quickly and apply it
• Proficient in the use of Agile tools/techniques such as a Kanban board, TFS, as well as Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel and Word
• Ability to maintain confidentiality around business sensitive projects
