Who:

Our client specialise in providing tailor-made finance loans for the Professions industry, operating as a principle lender and finance broker. They provide business loans to professional services firms in the UK for such purposes as to fund Professional Indemnity Insurance premiums, tax & VAT liabilities, capital expenditure & solicitor disbursements.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with relevant experience, offering the chance to (once established) build and lead a sales team in London.

You will operate primarily from our client’s offices in the Bank area.

As Business Development Manager key responsibilities will be:

• Responsible for growing the loan book by:

a) Cross-selling to existing clients
b) Winning new direct business from new client contacts
c) Developing partnerships with other firms and insurance sub-brokers to generate new leads

• Responsible for handling some administration
• Responsible for maintaining client relationships and renewing existing deals
• Responsible for developing new sales strategies
• Responsible for following up with clients to chase for unpaid loan instalments
• As the firm grows, will be responsible for the London sales team

The role will include direct & indirect sales, as well as the need for cold-calling.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven sales track record, preferably in a similar field (greater than 5 years in sales).
• Extremely motivated and pro-active (essential)
• Team player
• Ability to form and execute own sales strategy
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels (internally & externally)
• Excellent communicator and personable
• Able to lead a team (any future London sales recruits will report to this candidate)

Salary: up to £45,000 basic plus commission
